praise: auburn doesn't have an ear infection or anything major. dr. said "just a cold."
prayer: please continue to pray for our family's health. each of us has something bothering us. the car is acting up again.
playfulness: auburn now weighs 17lbs. 8oz. getting to be quite the chunk.
landon put his own sock on this morning. he also tried using the potty-but no success yet.

New Poll!!!!!
praise: i was able to sleep in a little bit this morning. landon hasn't mentioned his pacifier in a few days now. he is able to fall asleep without crying now, too. glad we're done with that.
prayer: we are still sick. may be taking little one back in this afternoon. she has a cough now.
playfulness: landon woke me up at 3:15 this morning to tell me "i saw the silly guy. in the car. he had a cheeseburger with a pickle. he, he, he." very cute, but not at 3:15. dave had taken him to see the "silly guy" (big boy character) last night after he took some people home from church.
auburn is showing her girly tendencies already. while i was standing next to her hair accessories organizer, she grabbed the frilliest thing in it to play with (after knocking others out). also today, she was after my beaded bracelet and was very happy when i finally gave it to her.

praise: the ladies sessions at the macp were wonderful!!! praise the Lord that He used the speakers in such a mighty way.
prayer: auburn is still sick. i have a sore throat, and landon is still struggling with his cough.
playfulness: tonight, i told landon that he needed to go to bed pretty soon. his response... "you need to be patient, mommy."
this afternoon i was singing "i love you landon, oh, yes i do". he then began to sing "i love you mommy, oh, yes i do" and finished the song.
i was lamenting the fact that i didn't get to see the lunar eclipse tonight. dave's response was..."you're complaining because you missed seeing nothing. just look somewhere else and you won't see the moon."

praise: we all were able to go to church yesterday, for both services.
prayer: auburn is sick, poor girl. her nose is running and running. landon didn't sound very well this morning, but sounds better tonight.
playfulness: i had an enjoyable time tonight watching dave and landon dance with their play bats to "the old bamboo" from chitty-chitty bang-bang.
landon fell asleep while eating this afternoon. very humorous. he kept mumbling about going to sunday book (sunday school).
landon loves to drive down dix and see the "silly men". (a.k.a. the big boy character infront of the restaurant and the tire man on top of belle tire.) big boy is silly because he is holding a cheeseburger with a pickle sticking out of it, and the tire man is silly because he is standing on top of the building.

praise: landon seems to be doing better. the ladies' sessions at the MACP have been excellent and very convicting to my life. much to think about and improve on.
prayer: landon will continue to improve and auburn will stay healthy. dave is very tired after the MACP. i will make the changes in my life that are necessary.
playfulness: i just found landon with a match out of a matchbook trying to light a candle in our living room. he gets that from his daddy.
one of the workers in landon's nursery today couldn't believe how much he was talking. also commented "landon, i hear you love to sing".
landon has a ritual that he does everytime he leaves the house and goes to get in our car. first, he has to touch the blue paint mark on our neighbor's sidewalk. then, he has to cross our driveway and touch the "white" cement and green grass. finally, he has to touch and say each of the letters in toyota on the back of our car. then, and only then, is it okay to get in his car seat. people wonder why i call him "mr. particular."
went to the pumpkin patch yesterday. also, had a pinata smash. kids loved it.

praise: my friend marcia is expecting.
prayer: macp is going on at our church over the next two days. pray that the conference is glorifying to our Lord.
playfulness: landon has two plastic screws that go with his workbench. recently, he has been pretending that they are ice cream cones. the first time was two nights ago-he came out and asked me if i would like some yellow ice cream, and he would have the green ice cream. we sat in the living room and enjoyed our cones. it's nice to see him beginning to pretend - and the ideas being his own - not off of a show.

praise: landon is done with the steriod. dave got another side job this morning (a website for a local company). i see that i have never updated regarding auburn's hip-it's fine! thanks for praying.
prayer: landon is supposed to use a nebulizer for the next 3 months. pray that we have wisdom in knowing how to get him to do it, and if he really needs it for the prescribed length of time.
playfulness: landon wrote his first letter the other day. he has been asking us to help him write his favorite letters (T and Q), but on saturday, i heard him say "down and across". he had written it on the steamed up kitchen windows. later, he wrote it on a piece of wood with a pencil for grandpa.
the other day, landon put the end of my phone charger in his ear and then said, "hello?"

praise: we've survived (barely) two days without the paci. the daughter got her second tooth in today. the son fell asleep tonight without crying.
prayer: the son as he adjusts to life without his "support system".
playfulness: recently, the son has been enamored with the movie "chitty chitty bang bang." today, he told me, "Jesus is going to bring me a van so we can go to the beach". before, he stated that Jesus was going to bring him a beach with the van.
another quote of the day, "i want pizza, papa john's".
somewhat funny incident of the day: i had just finished changing the daughter when i heard the son coming down the hallway. so...i hid with her (holding her) behind his bedroom door. when he walked in the room, i said "boo"-only to get a laugh out of him and a five minute cry out of her.
a few minutes ago, i found that landon had concocted a substitute paci. i went in to check on him and tell him that i love him if he wasn't asleep yet. he was, but i whispered it in his ear-glad i did. i noticed that he had something sparkly in his mouth. he had found a large button that had been on his quilt on his wall and put it in his mouth to suck on.

praise: i was able to tile some of the basement yesterday. husband thinks he did decently on his first exam.
prayer: my grandmother on my mother's side just found out that she has skin cancer on her face. the husband seems to have a cold. tonight we're tossing the son's pacifier.
playfulness: the son loves to play behind our couch. sometimes he likes to take books and read them there, too. this morning he wanted auburn to come with him. the husband responded with "she can come back there when she's older." he then asked the husband to come back. when the response was "no", he said "maybe when you're older."
the daughter got her first tooth in today (front bottom left). she also had her first ponytail this week. very cute.
when the son got up from his nap today, he noticed that the daughter was not in her crib (as she was when he laid down). his comment was "mommy, auburn's missing!"
