going, going, gone

praise: we will be having our basement stairwell painted sometime within the next few weeks. also, we have our toddler car bed up for sale on ebay. today we finally had someone bid on it. there are a number people who are watching it-but i'm glad we finally found someone to buy it. i have mixed emotions about getting rid of it. landon loved it soooo much, i feel bad jipping dalton out of the same fun-but there just isn't space in their room for 2 big beds.  =(

prayer: mom smith isn't feeling too well.

playfulness: we had our big, dirty, rotting tree removed from our backyard about 2 weeks ago. our backyard looks wonderful now! my dad, mom, and brother helped us remove many huge bushes growing along the back fence late last summer. now all we have to get rid of is the crumbling, old firepit. Anyone want to help dave?!?  =) anyway, back to the tree...

Going...

going...

gone!

this isn't really playful, but it doesn't fall into either of the other catagories. we have an older stationary bike that we would like to pass along. we received it free from someone on freecycle.org, but it just didn't work for my tall hubby. if you would like it-let me know!

landon was looking at the word "mug" on a 2-liter of root beer while eating a candy cane. we were talking about the word, and i told him that if he changed the m to a j, he would have the word jug. he took the hook of his now sticky candy cane, and placed it on the 2-liter to get the word jug.

the kids and cousins love to watch the laurie berkner band dvd. one of the songs has a part that says "i love to watch the river flow." jenna accidently slipped and said "i love to watch the liver flow."

here are some still shots of the sliding stairs activity. i love jenna's face in this one-she was just flying down the stairs.

phillip came down the steps a little too soon after landon had-here's the result.

dalton loves bathtime...

the boys have similar shirts-i tried taking pictures, but by now you all know that my kids don't do well with staged pics. dalton was quite enamoured with landon's feet.

i did get a few good ones-more will be posted in a photo album later.

i got a few cute ones of my nieces as well.

this last pic just cracks me up! i kept telling landon "keep your eyes open, smile and look at the camera!" i think i took 10 similar shots and didn't get a single "good" one. someday landon will take a decent staged photo...i hope. i can't wait to see his school pictures next year!!!  =)
