mental institute

praise: dave made it home and ed horn is doing somewhat better. www.edhorn.info

prayer: pray that we can find out the gender of our baby next thursday. we would really like to know, but the baby has to cooperate!!!  =)

playfulness: for those of you who have been waiting for the announcement of me being admitted to a mental institute, it's probably not far away. earlier this afternoon i found myself scolding one of auburn's socks (yes, you read that correctly-a sock) for managing to avoid being washed for the third time. it found itself in the washing machine shortly after.

i have much to post and the kids should be getting up any minute, so this might have to been done in two rounds.

here are the christmas pics of the kids and family that i took a few weeks ago. none of them great, but they'll have to do for now. just as an explanation, i put a light behind them to help with avoiding shadows, but auburn freaked out when she saw it. i have no idea why. anyway, that caused her to be very non-compliant throughout the entire process. also, the green sheet was in theory to be removed from the picture and then replaced with a background of my choice-never got done and probably never will.

 cheese!

after the kids' photo shoot, we went shopping. shortly before coming home, i have each kid a chocolate cookie. both of them fell asleep in the van, but only one looked this bad.

here's the pic of our tree (as promised days ago).

we had a childrens' book exchange last thursday. i only took 3 pics and they were all of the same thing. here's the best one. after the party, we went to pizza hut. imagine 6 ladies and thirteen children ranging from newborn to 5 invading a pizza joint. much fun, much chaos.

we had a big snow last friday. so big, dave didn't have school. as a result he came home a little early to go play in the snow with the kids. unfortunately, our camera only lasted about the first 5 minutes. so i have no pictures of auburn outside. she didn't last very long since she decided to take her boots off!

auburn decided that she needed to wear daddy's gold sweater one day. very interesting.

as i've mentioned before, the kids love putting things on their heads (accept hats). here are the most recent items.

landon wanted me to take this pic of him making a funny face, so here it is.

the funny action of the day: i told landon he had to pick up his candyland cards that he was playing with as i was going through boxes upstairs. he started working diligently and then proclaimed "look, all clean!" i discoverd that he had just scooted all of the cards between different boxes. very creative, but not quite what i had meant. we then found the bag that they were to go in, and he did it the right way. with no complaints i might add!

gross action of the day: landon made a mess in his undies-something he has not done in a long time. unaware that it was of the darker nature, i let him go in his room an change himself. a few minutes later i saw him go in his room with toilet paper and start scrubbing the carpet. he was very proud of himself after he stood up and told me that it was "all better now!" i wasn't real happy when i found the reason of his excitement. hopefully that won't be happening again. btw, i did scrub the carpet after that.

hope this post will get me out trouble with some of you.
