thanks bob for the many reminders to post. the school year has begun and life is anything but boring. . .especially since there is a mouse in the house and my wife is freaked out about it. funny thing is that i don't remember her being this freaked out about the many mice that passed through our home up north. for some reason, this one lone (as for as we know) critter is more terrorizing in my wife's mind than that bearded fellow in the middle east (at least that is my guess. i have no knowledge of his current whereabouts).
so school started. i gave my advanced computer students a powerpoint assignment. one of the tasks was to "hide" a slide. one student brags that he is all done with the assignment on the day i gave it to them. i questioned him about the location of his hidden slide. his reply, "it's hidden". ok, so you would have to know what i am talking about for this to be funny. . .but trust me, it's funny. by the way, there are 10 types of people: those who know how to count and those who don't. if you don't get it, look up "binary" in a dictionary or encyclopedia.
sleep study was just so much fun that i can't wait to do it again (i guess i won't have to wait much longer than 4 months). below are some pics from the latest excitement. the bottom 2 pictures are a couple of the masks i got to try out. the last one is the one i ended up using most of the night. i think this is the kind they are sending me. my kids were excited about hearing the news of my "elephant" mask. upon seeing the pictures, the warrior child asked me if i made elephant noises when they put it on me. of course, he didn't say elephant noises, he just made the noises. it made me laugh quite a bit.
here is a video clip that i find myself watching almost every other day. i don't know much about the original show, but this is a great parody.
more later. . .
peace and java
