it has been a crazy and hectic week, but we are finally home and should be able to get a little bit of extra rest this week.
the warrior child has been cracking me up lately. usually when a friend calls me, i answer the phone "hey chief". . .the warrior child picked up a spoon yesterday and said "hey chief". he was also promised a candy cane when we got back on the road. as we were driving home last night he mentioned that he wanted to go to the road. the wife informed him that we were on the road. he quickly asked "can i have my candy cane?"
we had great visits with both sides of the family. the drive home from ohio was a tad treacherous at first, but ended up being fairly smooth. we relax until friday and then make a one day trip to see more family. . .then it is back to school.
