i've forgotten half of the things i wanted to blog about, so i'll quickly mention the things that i do remember.
not long ago i was at my in-laws for a big get-together with the whole fam. my job was to get drinks for everyone. some people asked for a mixture of drinks that i didn't think made sense, but i did it anyway. one of the strange mixtures that i thought i heard my father-in-law ask for was 7-up mixed with raspberry tea. i thought it strange, but figured he knows what he likes. i found out very quickly that that isn't what he wanted, but he drank it anyway. i have been mocked ever since. . .however, my wife found a recipe that is fairly close to the mixture that i came up with (http://www.kraftfoods.com/main.aspx?s=recipe&m=recipe/knet_recipe_display&recipe_id=53871). go figure.
last thursday we had workathon. so thrilling it takes a line in my blog; one of my students found some narcotics and a "funny-looking" pipe. police came and took it away. no video of kids falling off the merry-go-round this year. maybe next time.
school elections: go duct tape. there definitely needs to be more support for this qualified and capable candidate.
