november 22 is a very important day. . .and not just to me. i share(d)
the birthday with several prominent people. for example, baron lionel
rothschild - the first jewish member of english parliament, billie jean
king - the first woman in any sport to earn more than $100,000, boris
becker - the youngest and first unseeded player to ever win the men's
singles championship at wimbledon, as well as many politicians, actors,
athletes, etc. since we are all unique, i am sure that i am the first
something. . .but i'm really not sure what. i'm fairly certain if you
are thinking of something, i don't want to know what it is.
today
is the big game between osu and that team north of ohio. though i would
like to see the bucks continue their winning streak, i feel inclined to
predict a mi win. . .and not just because the game is played in ann
arbor. i've noticed that usually the better team loses in this the
greatest college football rivalry and since osu has the better team
this year, i believe they will lose to the "bad, bad bears" (that's
what landon calls them). though i'm sure a.j. hawk and company won't go
quietly. i do suspect that if the game were played in ohio, the outcome
might be different. . .and i believe that if the texas game were on
this side of the season, the result of that game would be different as
well. it would be a nice birthday gift to have an osu win and i'm
hoping to go to the game next year in the shoe (hint to cousin val).
last
night i got to watch my nieces and nephew along with my kids. i took
the advice of my friend steve mock. when a kid would bother him, he
would warn them that if they kept it up he would put them in a box.
this proves to be a great solution. . .in fact, it works really well if
you convince them that it is fun to be in the box. here's a picture of
the result:

we also had fun putting on puppet shows in our make-shift puppet stage (use your imagination).
more later. . .
peace and java
