random thoughts

haven't blogged in a while. . .working on multiple projects. our culture is "always busy" but busy is relative. different people are busy in different ways and there are different versions of busy. some that think they are busy, when they are just unorganized.

latest rave: adobe acrobat reader 6.0.  even though it takes longer to open this reader than it's predecessor, the wait is worth it. this reader actually reads to you. . .sort of. as long as the pdf was created from a text source (rather than as an image), acrobat will read the contents to you. if you use a mac, you will hear a female voice. . .a pc user will hear a male voice. very hip.
got a text file that you want the computer to read to you? convert it to pdf using openoffice.org (free microsoft office simulator) and listen to it while you get other things done.

finally got some new pictures up on the site. check out the new kid. . .she's got attitude. warrior child is an "outside the box" thinker. check out his bouncer antics.

perceptions are funny things. this should be a chater in the unpublished book.
the other day i had this thought: "it seems like the people you want to avoid will always find you, and those you want to contact you, seem to ignore you." perhaps this is only a matter of perception. perhaps, this isn't true, but seems to be true because we are impatient and selfish and want immediate contact regarding things that we think are important. perhaps, also, those we are desiring contact from are working hard at avoiding us. perhaps they are better at avoiding people than you are. hmmm. . .this may take more thought.

more later. . .
